The concept of a locus is fundamental: it describes the set of all and only the points that satisfy a certain property. The two most important examples are the perpendicular bisector of a segment and the bisector of an angle, which we will meet again when studying the notable points of a triangle. The section also introduces the point-line distance and the notion of the converse theorem.
